Basic Rules and Guidelines

Welcome! We play music that is imparting a divine influence on the mind and soul. While trying to recreate the feeling of being in The House of the Lord with good friends.

ROOM RULES:

Inspirational: gospel, spirituals, hymns, christian, jazz and relaxing music only please.
No sensual, nightclub or bar music. Nothing risque, keep it clean and positive.
Although it has a Christian message, we do NOT play heavy metal Christian music (also known as white metal), nor do we play Christian punk or Christian hardcore music.
This is a free for all room. There is no limit to the amount of songs you play. Except during special events, when there might be a maximum amount of songs allow.
There is a 10 minute limit on song length. If you have something longer and can get the majority of the other DJ’s to agree with your playing it, go for it! Please ask first before launching into your songs that are longer than 10minutes.
Preview your songs before playing them.
You must be active, please awesome your fellow DJs, or risk being escorted down.
No laming. If you don’t like a song you can abstain from voting entirely.
Check the “Room info” to see what’s already been played.
International music is welcome. But preferably music in English.
No racist, sexist, homophobic or foul language. Use language that honors God.
Partially edited profanity such as “$*!”, “#*!!+”, “beyotch”, “a$$”, “f–k” and “di**” is also unacceptable.
Please be respectful to everyone. Violate this rule and you will be booted from the room.
Be courteous to others, even to those whose beliefs you think are false or objectionable.
Users with inappropriate screen names are encouraged to change them or leave.
Do not post links to other rooms. Also, do not post harmful or malicious links.
You may NOT use our room to promote products or services.
No politics. This isn’t a political forum.
We ask that you do not troll us. Please report anyone trolling.
HAVE FUN, FUN,FUN! – expressions of being Spirit-filled are expected and accepted.

Please don’t ask for the definition of “inspirational music”. If you have to ask for a definition, you won’t understand. It is becoming increasingly difficult to decide where inspirational music starts or where it stops, where gospel music begins and spiritual music ends, or even where the borderline lies between relaxing music and jazz. Collectively, we feel there is no boundary line.

We represent a wide variety of religious and spiritual orientations – all are welcome to participate in our room. When you participate, you may encounter persons whose beliefs differ from your own. We hope that you will approach these encounters in a spirit of tolerance, accepting the rights of others to follow freely their own religious beliefs, even if they seem false to you.

Tranquility, strength and enlightenment of the soul — these are our goals. Be nice nobody wants to have their experience ruined. If there are issues, we want to know about them so that we can fix them. Please report issues and problems to: positive.walk@gmail.com.

Please check these rules and guidelines periodically as they may be revised; they are by no means comprehensive and definitive but should serve to make your experience better. We believe you’ll find it infinitely easier to work with us rather than against us.

Moderators: Please respect what the moderators have to say; they are familiar with the rules and will fairly enforce them. If you are granted mod powers, please be up to date on these rules.
